Went stargazing for a bit in the countryside tonight as it was a somewhat clear night. Had the camera and a tripod with me and ended up shooting some pics in the near pitch black;

Not a sunrise or set... That’s the nearest city illuminating the night sky. I had dialed in some semi random settings.

So yeah, the focus was not on the car at all, just some random snaps in between. Stargazing is always enjoyable to get away from everything else. Got a fair amount of shooting stars as well.

Next time I’ll remember to bring a more light sensitive lens, I had a 28-105mm zoom with F3.5 as the widest aperture. I have a 30mm F1.4 which would have been much more useful but I just grabbed the camera in an impulse.

That is stunning! This is something I always wanted to get into, tried a couple times to middling results.  I’ll have to give it another go at some point.

Too much noise in the shadows, I did try but it just didn’t look good.
